Syndication
Hey everyone!
I would like to talk a bit about syndication. You see, that’s an extremely important feature for a blogger, or really anyone trying to get a word in edgewise online. For instance, once I post a blog here, I’d like for a notification to be sent to facebook, twitter, and buzz. Now, this is the type of thing that sometimes gets annoying for people. I know many people who are on two or all of these networks, so repetition might be irritating. In addition to this, folks like Gina Trapani (a famed blogger and developer) have been called down for using syndication to various services, but not contributing to discussion (yes, there IS conversation even on twitter, why do you think their tagline is “join the conversation”?).
The great thing is, I LOVE the conversation! So being able to start discussions on various services is really quite exciting. One note: I will do my best not to SPAM you. As my twitter followers know all too well, I like to post quite a bit there… So that won’t be making it’s way to FB, only buzz. Anyway, just a quick update; if you see weird stuff happening, please let me know so I don’t SPAM everyone! kthxbai.
