Job Interview!
Hey, as most of y’all know, I had a big interview at Red Robin today. I applied to be a server… But I won’t be getting that position. Here’s how the interview went:
When I arrived at the Restaurant, there were two people ahead of me for interviews. I waited patiently, careful to keep a smile on my face to show how cheerful I was (in truth, I was smiling to keep from falling asleep). When my turn was up, I walked over to the Assistant Manager, hand extended to shake her very small hand, introduced myself, and sat down.
She asked a few questions about my application, the expected question as to why I wished to work at Red Robin, and of course! what my favorite meal was there. Duh, Bacon Cheeseburger with Bottomless Steak Fries, Dr Pepper and a Chocolate Shake! Mmmm.. My mouth waters just thinking about it!

After that, she told me what will happen. They’ll call my references over the next few days, then give me a call early next week. I’ll probably be given a light shift, where I’ll be positioned various places in the restaurant, and they will watch me to see how I interact with everyone. If I do well, then (as Sarah said) I’ll “get the job as hostess”. When I explained that I’d need to grow my hair out a bit for that position, she kindly offered a wig, earrings, and a dress. I had to opt out of that, pink not being my color, but she said I’d possibly qualify for a host. If all goes well and I get the job, then I can work my way up to server pretty easily, as that’s the entire point of hiring hosts at the moment.
So, thank you for your continued prayers everyone!
