Well sheesh...
I suppose one of these days I’m going to sit down and begin writing consistently again.
Anyway, here’s what’s new.
HP hired me on as a fulltime employee! That’s great because I’m actually going somewhere with my career now, plus I get better insurance which the fiance is gonna like once she’s not my fiance but my wife cuz it’ll be great for her. Oh yes,...
For Sale: Nook Color by B&N - $150
The time has come to part with my Nook Color… Because I’m buying a Nook Tablet!
Don’t worry about condition; I take great care of my gadgets! My fiance bought it from B&N via their eBay store, but thankfully is quite glad to let me sell it so I can upgrade. Even though she doesn’t understand my gadget-y ways. =]

Greatness
My friends, I have a question to ask. Why does man crave great things? I do not refer to large houses, expensive art, or nice cars. I refer to the great things of the natural world. The Ocean. The Mountains. Things that show man how truly small he is. How little he can really affect his world. Yes, there are some who attempt to tame the ocean, to conquer the mountains. But do they succeed? No.The...

Information Age: Is Google the one to yell at?
Been reading up a little bit on Google’s new TOS. And I don’t get what the big deal is. As I understand it, Google is simply stating that they are using the data that they have on you in one service to pad what they have about you in another. Now, maybe I’m a little naive, but I assumed that’s what they had been doing ever since got my first gMail address back in 2005....

Alright.
So, y’all know I work prep/expo/cook/bussing at Fuddruckers in Idaho right? Yup. Been getting about 40 hours a week, which is quite pleasant, as the weather is brightening up and I only work two evenings.
So it’s annoying that I now have an issue.
See, I don’t wanna be stuck in a restaurant job forever(well, unless I’m RUNNING one I OWN), so I’ve been...

So I realized a few things tonight. First, I really do not like almonds in my chocolate bars. Second, I absolutely LOVE english toffee in my chocolate bars. Third, no Symphony bars I have ever found have only english toffee. So I must suffer through the almonds. :(
Ok, on to the real point(or two) of this post. =]

Love... It's not an option folks.
Love… It’s not an option. Nor is it a feeling. So often people see love as just that; a feeling that comes and goes, when in reality it’s a decision. When I say I love someone, it’s because I’ve made the *decision* to love them, regardless of their behavior or decisions, right or wrong. But, what about those others, those I haven’t decided to love? Are they any...

I closely examined the fluid reservoir in my clutch master cylinder. It appears fully full. In other words, I can find no leaks.
Also, I am newly assigned to daily prep. This came as a shock to the old prep cook. Nor the most pleasant start to the AM.
I finished The Lost Hero. Impatient for sequel.
I find television shows annoying and wasteful of time I could better spend A) Eating, B)...

American Soldier
Today is Veterans Day. The day when citizens across the great United States of America pause and remember those who served their country. Those who have given their lives to ensure freedom and hope for this fair country. Those who continue to protect us from threats, both within our Nation, and without. God bless our protectors, God bless our Armed Forces, and God Bless the USA!

True, God did not set up democracy as His ideal of governance of the people. He selected leaders to carry His people through. They were to ultimately rely in GOD for their leadership, not on man.
Sadly, we live in a fallen world. A theocracy is essentially impossible with the state of man in these days. If we tried that, it would simply degrade into anarchy.
Democracy is quite simply the...

Loved the commercials he saw on TV.
He watched with wide believing eyes

Stylish jeans to fit much tighter.

Day Two in Oregonadise!
Oh yeah… So I’m in Oregon for those of you who don’t know. Just so you know, I’m still alive and kicking! Kicking rotten fence posts that is. :D
I’m staying with my brother-in-law’s family over near the coast… Near Coos Bay. They’ve got plenty of work for me to get on, I’m enjoying it so far. Here’s a few “new” experiences...

The infinitely hated Buzz...
Alright, so this spring I was mostly offline for a few months whilst I wrote my senior thesis and worked through some things. This sabbatical started the day after Google Buzz launched. I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn’t be using Buzz for awhile as I had been very excited to get see how well it worked. When I got back, I fell in love with Buzz! The ability to have conversation threads...

Edit: Since I posted this… Yeah. A lot has changed in my life, and I have realized that this is not the direction God has for my life. I’m concentrating on building a web design business and getting into Children’s Ministries, as well as assisting with my church’s Worship Team. Many thanks for all your prayers! You’re truly amazing friends. ^_^

This is a great article stating the reasons to use Linux. It’s quite interesting, surprisingly “un-techie”, and very accurate. Read it with an open mind. Then let’s talk =) I offer free Linux installations btw.

Sleep should be optional!
I’m starting to get annoyed by sleep. It seems that hardly a day goes by without my body whining about how much it wants sleep. It’s downright cruel! I propose a solution: we ban sleeping except for between the hours of 2-5 pm each day, when it’s hottest outside. This will allow all of us plenty of time do work, relax, and socialize! Who’s with me on this?

Syndication
Hey everyone!
I would like to talk a bit about syndication. You see, that’s an extremely important feature for a blogger, or really anyone trying to get a word in edgewise online. For instance, once I post a blog here, I’d like for a notification to be sent to facebook, twitter, and buzz. Now, this is the type of thing that sometimes gets annoying for people. I know many people who...

Job Interview!
Hey, as most of y’all know, I had a big interview at Red Robin today. I applied to be a server… But I won’t be getting that position. Here’s how the interview went:
When I arrived at the Restaurant, there were two people ahead of me for interviews. I waited patiently, careful to keep a smile on my face to show how cheerful I was (in truth, I was smiling to keep from...

Life Goes On... Usually.
I just realized that no matter what happens, life goes on. “Oh, my girlfriend broke up with me” Life Goes On. “I’m broke and living in my mom’s basement with only WoW to keep me company” Life Goes On. “LOST sucked” Life Goes On. “Firefly was canceled” Life Goes On. “My laptop keeps crashing” Life Goes On. “I just died…”
Life Goes… Wait, what??? I guess maybe life doesn’t always...
What Is a Hacker?
I didn’t write this; I’m just sharing.
“There is a community, a shared culture, of expert programmers and networking wizards that traces its history back through decades to the first time-sharing minicomputers and the earliest ARPAnet experiments. The members of this culture originated the term ‘hacker’. Hackers built the Internet. Hackers made the Unix operating system what it...

I’ve decided that I’m going to record songs and post them on my youtube account throughout the summer. I’m not sure how regular I can be, I’ll try for approximately 1 per week, we shall see how it goes.

Decisions... Decisions.. *sigh*
Hey Everyone!
I have been doing a huge amount of praying and thinking these past few months. As many of you know, I have been considering joining the Army National Guard since early this year, hoping to get a job at the local base in IT. Indeed, I am taking the ASVAB today!
However, my goal was emphatically not a career in the military, nor a career in computers. My dream is to support myself...

I’m at war with the world cuz I
Ain’t never gonna sell my soul
I’ve already made up my mind
No matter what I can’t be bought or sold
When my faith is growing weak
And I feel like giving in
You breathe into me again
I’m Awake!

Pride is good for you.
Humility is good. Read about it or listen to a sermon on it. I don’t need to beat that dead horse. On to my point:
Pride is a good thing. It’s vital to your survival. People will walk all over you, ruin your day/week/year just because you don’t have the pride to stand up and say “Listen you jerk(substitute own choice of words here), I don’t have to take this crap...
Is the internet secure?
No, anyone with the right tools and knowledge can break security measures.
Security online is a twofold problem. First, the user must be savvy enough to know the correct measures to take for maximum security. Secondly, the technologies used by users must be in itself secure. There are many technologies being used today which are supposed to give us that security. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer),...
Busy Day!
After a busy busy morning of accomplishing all kinds of work about the house, I’m going to finish trimming and cleaning up front. After making certain that the whole property looks good, I think a bank run is in order. Then… Hmm, maybe check and see if the sugar shack is open, grab some Roe Annes, then do a bit of work on my parent’s financial counseling website. Later tonight I...

Basic CSS primer... Written entirely on my iPod!
Ok, quick CSS primer, from an amateur to you.
CSS=Cascading Style Sheets. Basically, it tells your computer how to display stuff on websites. Here’s a quick example of CSS that will position a block of text (HTML code) on the right side of the page, with a nice 5 pixel margin around it. The background will be grey with a solid black outline, and the text will be a garish shade of purple...

Job 24-28 | #dailybible
I found today’s reading especially interesting. Job has been bemoaning his observation that the wicked are rewarded and the righteous are left out to dry. The first chapter is more of this: “From out of the city the dying groan,and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.” However, soon after Bildad states the following;
“How then can...
